Integr8 IT gains national recognition for business acumen
Topco Media, organisers of the annual National Business Awards, has selected Integr8 IT, South Africa's largest privately owned national BEE ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialist, as a finalist in two categories.
The Awards - presented in association with the annual business publication, SA's Top Performing Companies - was first introduced by Topco Media in 2002 and was established to recognise and honour top performers of the year in business and industry.
This year Integr8 IT is a finalist in the 'CSI Innovation Award' and 'Innovation Through Technology Award' categories.
Previous National Business Award winners include Patrice Motsepe (Harmony Gold), Tokyo Sexwale (Mvelphanda Holdings), Maria Ramos (Transnet) and Professor Nick Binedell (Gordon Institute of Business Science).
Robert Sussman, joint MD at Integr8 IT, is honoured that the company is a finalist in two categories and is looking forward to the award ceremony on 28 May at the Sandton Convention Centre.
"We are very proud and honoured to be a finalist in this competition. This initiative is in its fifth year and organisers have made a significant contribution towards reinforcing confidence in growing market segments, with particular reference to the advent of- and value in technology in business," said Sussman.
"It is also worthwhile noting that organisers have added a new element to the Awards this year, in the form of study grants and bursaries. Each category has an affiliate study grant or bursary and this will go directly towards the benefit of previously disadvantaged individuals. This demonstrates the level at which business and industry is committed to developing South Africa's skills base and its drive to encourage long-term socio-economic growth," he continues.
The study grants/ degree programmes portfolio and list of recipients is being managed by Topco Media in conjunction with several established tertiary institutions.
Integr8 IT has once again been recognised by the market for its strength of offerings within the ICT managed services and infrastructure integration and management markets.
"We continue to make inroads into many areas of opportunity in terms of local and international technology adoption and integration. It is critical for service providers to remain innovative. The standard of requirement and volume of need is such that this is ability has become mandatory," adds Sussman.
